Crop Failure

Keep a multi-season food reserve

Cracked, dry farmland with withered crop stubble

#Nature 🍃 Fall

A single bad season — drought, floods, or a harvest that fails outright — can wipe out a year's food supply if you're relying on just-in-time buying. Keep a rotating staple reserve (grains, legumes, preserved or canned food) that covers several months, not just a 72-hour kit, and diversify where your food actually comes from so one region's bad harvest doesn't leave you with nothing.
