Use a separate email alias for signups so a breach doesn't expose your main address

Your main email address ties together your accounts, your identity, and often your password-reset flow for everything else — handing it to every random signup form is a lot of exposure for one login field. Use a separate alias (many email providers support them for free) for non-essential signups, and if it ever ends up in a breach or starts getting spammed, you'll know exactly which service leaked it, and can kill that alias without touching your real inbox.
