Recovery keys and 2FA backup codes assume you already know which accounts you'd need to recover — but a house fire, theft, or flood that takes every device you own at once also takes the password manager and the apps that would normally remind you an account even exists. Keep a short, physical, offline list — bank, insurer, primary email, phone carrier, utility providers — somewhere separate from your devices (a fireproof box, a trusted family member), not the actual passwords or keys, just enough to know what to start recovering and who to call first.
